On the 10th and 11th of June, the Enactus Kyrgyzstan National Student Entrepreneurship Competition was conducted in Bishkek. As part of the Eco-Future initiative, the Enactus OSHSU team received a nomination for Best Environmental Project.
The goal of the initiative is to recycle plastic and polyethylene waste. Making brooms out of plastic bottles, illegally posted banners out of clothing and food bags, and carpets out of polyethylene bags are just a few examples.
Through projects, the team educates and assists those who are looking to start a business. Students learn about business ventures, business strategy, and potential sales of their products from an early age.
Osh State University's ENACTUS squad was the Central Asian champion, Kyrgyzstan's national champion twice, and placed second seven times. Kyrgyzstan's team competed in the World Cup in Beijing, China, and Toronto, Canada.
Since 1998, Osh State University's ENACTUS team has been functioning successfully and is refreshed every year with new students. They've created around 100 company projects over the years.
