Five of the nation's universities have received special status
This was made public following the subsequent meeting of the Council of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on Science, Innovation, and New Technologies, where topics relating to university reform and the reform of the Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences were discussed.
The following universities received a special status:
1. Kyrgyz National University;
2. Kyrgyz State Technical University;
3. Kyrgyz Agrarian Academy;
4. Kyrgyz State Medical Academy;
5. Osh State University.
