Osh State University will host an international conference titled "Uzgen and the Heritage of Imam Serakhsi."
On July 30, Sultan Raev, a writer, politician, and secretary general of the International Organization of Turkish Culture (TURKSOY), paid a visit to Osh State University. He and Zamirbek Bozhonov, vice-rector of OshSU for educational issues discussed the upcoming ethno-folkloric festival "Uzgen-Munara-2022," which is scheduled to take place on August 27, 2022. The international conference "Uzgen and Imam Serakhsi's heritage" will take place at Osh State University as part of the ethno-folkloric festival.
Participants in the event include government representatives, historians, researchers, cultural workers, representatives of international organizations, the deputy minister of culture of the state of Turkey, the minister of religious affairs of Turkey, scientists and academics.
This year's "Uzgen-Munara-2022" ethno-folkloric festival is being held for the second time with the goal of promoting national cultural heritage, honoring local historical heritage, and assisting in the spiritual and cultural development of the community.
