Today, August 22, in front of the main building of the Osh State University, the funeral of the excellent teacher of the Kyrgyz Republic, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, Professor Baiysh Arapov was held.
At the farewell rally, Zamirbek Bojonov, vice-rector for educational affairs of Osh State University, Ernis Toltoev, deputy representative of the government in Osh region, Sonunbek Junusbaev, vice-mayor of Osh, Baltagul Nurunbetov, chairman of the Osh branch of the Kyrgyz People's Assembly, Muslim judge of Osh Ubaidulla Aji Sarybaev, veterans of the school, Colleagues, heads of higher educational institutions in Osh, close associates, students, and colleagues of the deceased spoke about Baiysh Arapov's life path, activities in the field of education, science, and humanity.
In the Batken region's Samarkandek village, Bayish Arapov was born in 1942. He earned his diploma from the Lenin-named secondary school in the Batken area in 1959, and in 1964, he earned his honors degree from the Osh Pedagogical Institute.
He held various positions at the Osh Pedagogical Institute, including teacher, senior teacher, associate professor, department head, dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, director of the Institute of Fundamental and Applied Research, vice-rector of the evening and part-time study department of OshTU, and vice-rector of scientific affairs of OshMU. He served as the director of the Experimental and Theoretical Physics Department for the Faculty of Physics and Technology at Osh State University from 2007 to 2021.
He was able to write more than 200 scholarly articles and 5 monographs as a result of his efforts in scientific research. Professor B. Arapov was the creator of 6 patents as well as 7 copyright certificates. He established the scientific discipline known as "Physics of Condensed Materials."
He mentored 4 scientists with doctorates and 8 scientists with candidates, and he offered guidance to students pursuing their doctorates, master's degrees, and post-graduate degrees.
He was a loving father who raised 1 son, 3 daughters, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
