Cooperation with Umm al-Qura University

A delegation headed by Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdullah Al-Kurani, the Director of the Institute of Arabic Language at Umm al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia, is currently engaged in a five-day training program focused on language teaching methods at Osh State University.

On the 2nd of October, the delegation held a meeting with Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov to explore potential future collaborations between the two educational institutions. During this meeting, Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdullah Al-Kurani, the delegation's leader, highlighted that Umm al-Qura University stands as one of the leading universities with over 100,000 students. He also conveyed their interest in forming partnerships related to teaching the Arabic language, facilitating academic mobility across various fields of study, and exchanging teaching experiences.

Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov informed the delegation about Osh State University's Institute of Oriental Studies, where more than 100 students are actively pursuing Arabic language studies, and expressed the university's openness to collaboration.

Following the meeting, a decision was reached to create a memorandum of understanding between the two educational institutions. Additionally, discussions revolved around the establishment of an "Arabic Language Center" at Osh State University.

Umm al-Qura University not only offers education in fields such as Sharia and Arabic language but also trains professionals in diverse areas including business administration, Islamic economics, marketing, engineering, medicine, and architecture.
