The rugby team from Osh State University clinched the third position in the tournament
The rugby team from Osh State University participated in the national rugby championship held in Bishkek. This newly formed university team delivered an outstanding performance, clinching the third position in the tournament.
The national OshSU rugby squad comprises eight players, predominantly hailing from the Faculty of Physical Education. The team’s coach is Shumkarbek Oken uulu, a faculty lecturer.
In the coach's plans, there is a future endeavor to establish a women's rugby team. Additionally, he aspires to integrate this sport into the university's academic program and popularize it among the student community.
