A three-month event, titled “Kyrgyz Language and Aitmatov's Universe,” has been launched to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the globally renowned writer, statesman, and public figure Chyngyz Aitmatov.

As part of this celebration, a competition named “Aitmatov's Characters are at Osh State University” has been organized. This competition will assess participants’ literary performances, acting prowess, and ability to reveal the characters’ images.

The initial stage of the competition will occur at the university's various faculties and colleges, with the best enactments set to be showcased at a festive event on December 12. Prizes will be presented to the competition winners and active participants.

On October 24, the Faculty of History and Social Work hosted the first event of this kind.

This university-wide event has been initiated by Mastura Sharipova, the Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Affairs.
