In a bid to enhance academic collaboration and promote regional development initiatives, a delegation from University of Economy in Bydgoszcz (Poland), led by Ambassador of the Polish Congress and Director of the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture, Alexander Skaliy, embarked on a business visit to Osh State University.

The delegation, comprising deans of various faculties and professors specializing in arts, medicine, and economics, engaged in fruitful discussions with OshSU’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Nurlan Omurov, exploring avenues for further cooperation. The meeting underscored the successful implementation of existing collaborations, with OshSU receiving a commendation letter from the Rector of University of Economy in Bydgoszcz.

During their tenure at the institution from April 22nd to April 27th, the delegation will conduct guest lectures across different disciplines. Additionally, they will participate in the RITA project, aimed at environmental transformation in the region, a joint effort between the two universities.

As part of the RITA project, students are going to attend lectures throughout the week and apply their knowledge in practical sessions during the latter half of each day.

The foundation of this partnership was laid in 2021 during a visit to OshSU by the Rector of University of Economy in Bydgoszcz, Filip Sikora. Subsequently, in 2023, a trilateral agreement was inked during a delegation visit led by Osh State University’s Rector, Kudayberdi Kozhobekov, to University of Economy in Bydgoszcz, involving the Center for Innovative Technologies of the Bydgoszcz City Hall.

University of Economy in Bydgoszcz stands as a beacon of fourth-generation education, emphasizing the integration of university-science-industry-commercialization components in a seamless manner.
