OshSU Film Academy Students Win Awards at International Farabi Film Festival
Film Academy students from Osh State University achieved notable success at the international documentary film competition, the “Farabi Film Festival.” The ethnographic documentary “Rebirth” received nominations for “Best Short Film” and “Best Motivational Film.” The documentary, which focuses on Afghan Kyrgyz resettled in Chon-Alai, was created by students Saifidin Shayirbek uulu, Atabek Kurmushev, and Kairat Atagulov, under the guidance of Film Academy instructor Erkingul Mambetakunova.
The “Farabi Film Festival” is organized by the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Kazakhstan. The students is now preparing to participate in an upcoming festival for young filmmakers in Turkey.
