A five-day training of trainers (ToT) program on gender-sensitive journalism has concluded. This training was held in collaboration with Osh State University as part of the “Media-K” project by the Internews office in Kyrgyzstan. It included 19 lecturers from journalism departments of five universities across Kyrgyzstan.

The participants, chosen from among instructors and experts, were those who plan to lead practical workshops on gender-sensitive journalism for students.

The training was facilitated by media trainers Baktygul Islanbekova, Mars Tulegenov, Tynchtykbek Bakytov, and Elima Zhaparova.

Throughout the five-day program, attendees were introduced to norms and standards for reporting on gender-sensitive issues in the media, and were trained in methods to develop practical skills for teaching gender-sensitive journalism.
