Winners Announced for “OshSU in Our Poems” Poetry Competition
The winners of the “OshSU in Our Poems” poetry competition have been announced. This event, organized by the student newspaper “Nur” in celebration of the 85th anniversary of Osh State University, saw participation from 26 students, with four winners being selected.
Meerim Erkinbek Kyzy from the Faculty of Kyrgyz Philology and Journalism secured 1st place and received 7000 soms. Aniel Kulamzhanova took 2nd place with a prize of 5000 soms. Bayastan Temirbaev earned 3rd place and was awarded 3000 soms, while Bael Teshebaev from the Faculty of Business and Management came in 4th place, winning 1000 soms.
The jury was comprised of notable figures including Bermet Zakirova, the acting chairman of the Osh branch of the National Union of Writers of the Kyrgyz Republic, author Bekmurat Keldibaev, and Sydykbek Apish uulu, the editor of the newspaper “Dostuk Planetasy”.
With a prize fund totaling 16,000 soms, the competition was supported by the OshSU Trade Union Committee. The aim of the event was to nurture the creative students and showcase their skills to the public.
