In celebration of Osh State University’s 85th anniversary, the “Next Generation HUB” center was inaugurated. The opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures including the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Akylbek Japarov, Minister of Education and Science, Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, Du Dewen, local authorities, representatives from Jiangsu Huibo Robotics, and international guests.
This center, established in collaboration with Jiangsu Huibo Robotics, is the first laboratory of its kind in the Asian region and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries. Akylbek Japarov highlighted that the center will benefit not only Kyrgyzstan but also the neighboring countries’ robotics industry.
The company provided robotics equipment and supplies for the 500-square-meter facility allocated to Osh State University, with a total investment of $7 million.
Starting in the 2024-2025 academic year, the center will admit first-year bachelor’s students in mechatronics and robotics, in partnership with one chinese university, through the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technologies at OshSU. Additionally, the center will offer robotics courses for teenagers and schoolchildren, with plans to employ robotics graduates in both local and international manufacturing companies.
“This center will serve as both a training laboratory for students and and production center. We aim to engage young robotics enthusiasts early on, providing them with the experience necessary to pursue bachelor’s degrees in the field. I believe the Future Generation Hub will become a state-of-the-art center meeting today’s global demands,” said Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov.
The center aims to create a modern educational environment, integrating education, science, and practice in artificial intelligence, robotics, and information technology, and welcoming teachers, experts, engineers, and business leaders.
In April 2024, a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between Jiangsu Huibo Robotics and Osh State University in Suzhou, China.
