A ceremony was held at Osh State University to honor the winners of the “Best of the Year – 2024” competition, summarizing the achievements of the 2023-2024 academic year.
During the event, Vice-Rector for External Relations Kursantbek Attokurov and Vice-Rector for Investments and Economic Development Kubanych Toktorov congratulated the students. They awarded certificates of the “Scholarship of the Council of Scientists” from OshSU and cash prizes of 5,000 soms to students who were selected as the best from their respective faculties and colleges based on the established criteria.
Absamat Sattarov, the head of the professional union, also congratulated the winners. The competition, aimed at stimulating educational activities, is an annual event at OshSU. Notable winners included Ikval Termechikova, deputy director of the Industrial Pedagogical College for academic work, who won the “Best Manager” award; Kyyaz Karimov, deputy dean of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty for academic work, who was named “Creative Deputy”; and Chinara Tokurova, deputy dean of the Faculty of Russian Philology for academic work, who received the “Ishterman” award. Each of these winners received a diploma and a three-day trip to the “Sanat” boarding house in Issyk-Kul.
Additionally, awards were given to the winners of the “Best Ombudsman” and “Best Youth Council” competitions as part of the “Best of the Year” event. Students who actively participated in cultural and social events throughout the year, as well as the deputy dean for academic work who contributed significantly to organizing the university’s 85th-anniversary celebration, received Certificates of Appreciation. These awards were presented by Vice-Rector for Public Work and Youth Policy Nurzhamal Mapaeva and Head of the Department of Strategic Planning for the Development of Quality Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation Yyldyz Artykova.
The ceremony concluded with a concert program.
