OshSU Rector Awarded Avicenna Prize

Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, rector of Osh State University received the Avicenna Prize from Uzbekistan’s Public Foundation “Ibn Sino” in recognition of his efforts in promoting unity between the two nations, fostering interuniversity collaboration, and contributing to the development of future generations. The award was presented during a visit by Uzbekistan’s Consul General in Osh city, Zafarbek Akhmedov, to the university.

Earlier this year, on March 18, the VII International Scientific Conference titled “Ali ibn Sina and Innovations in the Field of Modern Pharmaceuticals” was held in Tashkent. The event was organized in collaboration with the Ibn Sino Public Foundation, the Ministry of Health, and the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute. Associate professors of the Faculty of Medicine of OshSU made presentations at the meeting on modern medicine and medicinal herbs. During the conference, the rector of OshSU was honored with the Avicenna Prize.

The Ibn Sino Public Foundation operates both nationally and internationally, actively collaborating with countries in Europe and Asia. The Foundation focuses on strengthening spiritual and moral values and engaging with youth.
