On November 20, President Sadyr Japarov presented awards to the winners of the national teaching competition, as reported by the presidential press service. The ceremony, attended by the Minister of Education and Science Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, celebrated outstanding educators for their contributions to the development of education in Kyrgyzstan.
In his speech, the President emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting education, calling it a sacred duty to nurture the nation’s future. He highlighted the importance of recognizing and rewarding talented teachers to foster educational growth.
Nazgul Kanybekova, a mathematics teacher at the “Bilim” Lyceum of Osh State University, was named “Best Teacher of the Year-2024” and received a certificate for an apartment. Additionally, certificates for 200,000 soms were awarded to two OshSU graduates: Aziret Zaidov, recognized as “Best History Teacher,” and Nuristan Marat, honored as “Best Geography Teacher.”
President Japarov noted that the annual competition, established to promote excellence among educators in preschool and general education institutions, was bolstered by a special government resolution. The initiative aligns with the country’s efforts to support educators and improve the quality of education nationwide.
The “Teacher of the Year-2024” competition concluded on October 4, marking the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast and the establishment of Kyrgyzstan’s education system. A total of 128 educators competed in the final stage, with Nazgul Kanybekova emerging as the winner.
