Honoring Olympic athletes in Osh

Today in Osh, a ceremony was held to honour the participants of the Paris Olympics from the Osh region: silver medalist in boxing Munarbek Seyitbek uulu, bronze medalist wrestler Akjol Mahmudov, and judoka Kubanychbek Aibek uulu.

At the Alymbek Datka Ethno Center, the athletes were welcomed by city and regional leaders, and residents. 

All speakers highlighted the significant role of the athletes who defended the country's honor and performed admirably at the XXXIII Summer Olympics in Paris.

Local authorities, highly valuing the athletes' performances, presented 1 million soms and the keys to a three-room apartment to Munarbek Seyitbek uulu, and 500,000 soms and the keys to a two-room apartment to his coach Beganas Sultanbaev. The first boxing coach, Turdaly Omorov, was awarded a prize of 500,000 soms.

Additionally, Akjol Mahmudov received 1 million soms, while his coach Meirambek Akhmetov was awarded 200,000 soms. Judoka Kubanychbek Aibek uulu received 250,000 soms, and his coach Bakyt Jusupov received 100,000 soms. Each Olympic participant was also gifted a horse.

It should be noted that Munarbek Seyitbek uulu is a graduate of Osh State University, where he completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in Physical Education and Sports.
