A two-day Friendship Week has kicked off in Osh, focusing on topics such as climate change adaptation, peacebuilding, natural resource management, and women’s empowerment.
Held at Osh State University, Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov highlighted that “Peace Week serves as a platform to strengthen peace and stability in the region, address challenges, and share experiences and ideas. Through collaboration, we can combine resources, knowledge, and ideas to achieve shared goals of regional peace.”
During the event, the Rector was presented with a letter of appreciation from the organizers.
The Peacebuilding Center is leading the Friendship Week, with participation from local authorities of Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken, educational institutions, and peace movement activists.
The event will conclude on September 13 in Osh and continue in Bishkek from September 16 to 20.
