A museum dedicated to the honored Kyrgyz musician and composer, Ryspay Abdykadyrov, has been renovated, digitized, and reopened at the Institute of Pedagogy, Arts, and Journalism of Osh State University.
The opening ceremony was attended by Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, faculty members, Alisher Tutayev, the head of the Osh Regional Philharmonic named after Abdykadyrov, the musician’s daughter Suita Abdykadyrova, as well as his contemporaries and students.
The newly designed and digitized museum now features an audio guide, providing information about Abdykadyrov in Kyrgyz, English, and Russian. Exhibits include personal items, musical instruments, manuscripts, and awards belonging to the composer.
Ryspay Abdykadyrov, born on January 12, 1941, in Kyzyl-Bulak, Kara-Kulja district, Osh region, would have been 83 this year. Throughout his career, he composed over 200 songs and worked at Osh State University until his passing, leaving behind a rich musical legacy for future generations.
