OshSU Strengthens Safety Measures to Ensure Well-Being of Foreign Students

On September 12, 2024, a meeting was held at the International Medical Faculty of Osh State University involving representatives from law enforcement, university administration, and foreign students. The focus of the discussion was on ensuring student safety. Police officers provided guidance on public conduct, adherence to migration laws, and what steps to take if personal safety is threatened.

The dialogue emphasized the collaboration between the university’s security service and law enforcement. Both academic buildings and student dormitories are closely monitored by the city police.

Kyrgyzstan hosts over 28,000 foreign students, the majority of whom are enrolled in medical universities. OshSU alone is home to 10,000 students from India and Pakistan.
