A book commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast

On October 8, the Department of Russian Philology at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communications of Osh State University hosted a meeting with Professor B.K. Abytov. During the event, the professor presented his book, “Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast: Revival of National Statehood in the Soviet Era.” Both students and faculty members participated in the discussion. The author highlighted key historical events and the roles of significant figures in the establishment of Kyrgyz autonomy. A lively exchange of views followed, with the professor addressing numerous questions from students. Additionally, he generously donated several copies of his book to the institute’s library. The event was held in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast.
