Osh State University’s medical student, Chinara Akmatalieva, clinched the gold medal at an international boxing championship in Bishkek. Competing in the 64-kilogram weight category, Akmatalieva emerged victorious in the event held from October 25 to 27, which featured athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
Currently preparing for the upcoming Kyrgyz national championship, Akmatalieva brings five years of boxing experience to the ring. A two-time champion in both national and international competitions and a Master of Sports, Akmatalieva is also pursuing studies in medicine at the university’s Medical Faculty.
