OshSU Students Engage in Local Election Awareness Event
Students at Osh State University were informed about the upcoming local council elections during an event held on October 29. The meeting featured Nurzhan Shaildabekova, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission; Gulgaki Mamasalieva, head of the Osh branch of the Interbilim organization; and Zhakshylyk Beknazarov, Chairman of the Kyrgyz Youth Movement.
Titled “Participate! Choose! Vote!”, the event allowed students to gather information about election day from local council deputies and ask questions. The discussion also focused on the importance of youth participation in the electoral process.
This initiative is part of a project led by the Ministry of Education and Science, along with the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy. The elections for local council deputies in Kyrgyzstan are scheduled for November 17.
