On November 23, Islambek Turgunov, a Master’s student at Osh State University, secured first place in the Kyrgyzstan Boxing Championship held in Bishkek. Competing in the 75 kg weight category, he emerged as the champion. In the 60 kg category, Bayaman Azizbek uulu claimed second place, while Nursaid Iminjanov finished third in the 71 kg category.
The tournament brought together 120 athletes from across the country. The winners were honored with medals and certificates presented by the Directorate of Olympic Sports and the Boxing Federation.
The students were coached and trained for the event by Honored Trainer of Kyrgyzstan, Beganas Sultanbaev, alongside OshSU Boxing Head Coach Turdaly Omorov.
