On November 30, Osh State University hosted the eleventh annual regional student scientific conference, “Student and Scientific and Technical Progress.” The event gathered approximately 450 top-performing students and postgraduates, along with 150 of their academic supervisors, from higher education institutions across the southern region. It also welcomed scientists, university representatives, and heads of scientific and postgraduate departments.

Students from seven universities presented at the plenary session, and young researchers’ articles were discussed in 20 specialized sections covering various scientific fields. Outstanding speakers received diplomas, while all participants were awarded certificates.

The conference’s organizer, Gulzhamal Anarbaeva, chief specialist of the postgraduate and doctoral department, highlighted the event’s role in fostering collaboration among students. She emphasized its importance in strengthening connections between young researchers and academic institutions.

This conference has become a unified platform for sharing and applying the research findings of students and young scientists. It plays a significant role in promoting scientific inquiry among students and master’s degree candidates, helping them build professional skills. Furthermore, it motivates many participants to excel academically and engage in research. Notably, some of the conference’s earliest participants have gone on to complete postgraduate studies and defend their PhD theses,” Anarbaeva remarked.

Since its inception in 2014, this annual event has been a cornerstone for nurturing young scientists in the region.
