Feast for children
A holiday was prepared by mentors and residents from the Pediatrics Department of Osh State University's Center for Postgraduate Continuous Medical Education for 500 children being treated at the Osh Interregional Children's Clinic.
The rector of Osh State University, Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, attended the holiday "Children are our Future" and wished the children a happy holiday.
Children performed dance routines and sang songs, as well as taking part in a drawing competition, checkers tournaments, and other games and quizzes. The holiday's organizers gave the kids gifts and wished them well on their recovery.
International Children's Day is celebrated on June 1st. It was first commemorated in 1950, after the Congress of the Women's International Democratic Federation decided to establish it in November 1949 in Paris.
