Nurislan Askarbekov is to be elected chairman of the Youth Council of Osh State University

The position of chairman of the university's student self-governance organization, the Youth Council, was up for election on June 14.

The election was attended by 295 delegates appointed on behalf of full-time students of Osh State University, who voted by ballot.

The head of Osh State University's professional committee, the President's representative in the Osh area, and vice-rectors of Osh Technological University and Osh State Pedagogical University made up the special election panel.

Bektursun Orozali uulu, Chairman of the Youth Council, who had previously worked at the institution for two years, presented a final report on the activities carried out throughout the years during the election.

As a result, Nurislan Askarbekov, a third-year student at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, received 158 votes to be chosen chairman of the Youth Council.

According to the Regulation, students, teachers, undergraduates, and graduate students at Osh State University between the ages of 20 and 30 can run for Chairman of the Youth Council, which is chosen for a three-year term.
