Osh State University Hosted Grand New Year Celebration for Its Community
On December 28, 2024, Osh State University hosted a grand New Year’s Eve party for its community at the “Oligarch” restaurant in Osh. The festive event, organized by the university’s trade union, marked the upcoming year 2025 in style.
University Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov extended his New Year greetings to attendees and highlighted the institution’s significant achievements over the past year. He proudly announced that Osh State University earned a prestigious four-star rating in the QS Stars International University Rankings by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, secured the 260th spot among Asia’s top universities in the QS rankings, and ranked among the top 13 universities in Central Asia.
To commemorate these milestones, a symbolic 40-kilogram cake was cut, and the guests indulged in delicious sweets.
Key figures such as Orunbek Kolanov, Chairman of the Council of Elders; Baltagul Nurunbetov, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; and Absamat Sattarov, Chairman of the Trade Union, also delivered heartfelt congratulatory messages.
The Trade Union added to the festivities by organizing a lottery, where winning lecturers received vouchers to the Jalal-Abad and Mamakeev sanatoriums, the Keremet recreation center in Kochkor-Ata, and other valuable prizes. The celebration was further enriched by a lively concert program arranged by the staff of the Ryspay Abdykadyrov Cultural and Aesthetic Center.
