Pension increases beginning on October 1
According to Sadyr Zhaparov, the pension would increase by 1,700 to 3,400 soms as of October 1.
"Currently, Kyrgyzstan has roughly 735,000 retirees. Their annual pension contributions total 70 billion soms. We currently allocate 90 billion soms annually from the republican budget" remarked Zhaparov.
The President acknowledged that this is not a good number and emphasized that every effort is being made to enhance people's lives.
