Center for Uzbek Language and Culture opens at Osh State University

The opening ceremony of the Uzbek Language and Culture Center was conducted at the Faculty of Kyrgyz Philology of Osh State University. The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, K. Karimov, the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan, Kh. Mirzakhidov, the Rector of Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, Sh. Sirozhiddinov, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, U. Usekov, the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Uzbekistan, M. Zhamanbaev, the Rector of Osh State University, Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, faculty, and students.

The center has been furnished with the necessary office equipment and technical resources, and it is stocked with relevant literature that portrays the history, culture, and language of the Uzbek people.

During the ceremony, Sh. Sirozhiddinov, the Rector of Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, was awarded with the title of "Honorary Professor of Osh State University." Both sides emphasized the center's role in enhancing friendship and collaboration between these closely related peoples.

Additionally, it's important to mention that in the near future, a Center for Kyrgyz Language and Culture will be established at Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature. These initiatives are being carried out in the context of celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Currently, Osh State University is engaged in partnerships with around 40 universities in Uzbekistan.
