Osh State University hosted the Russian Week of Mathematics and Exact Sciences

On October 23-24, Osh State University hosted the event titled “Enhancing the Qualifications of Russian Language Teachers and Subject Specialists for 9th-11th Grade Students in Southern Region of the Kyrgyz Republic.”

The event saw the participation of several notable figures, including Mirlan Israilov, the Head of the Department of External Relations and Analytics at Osh City Administration, Dmitry Avram, the Head of the Russian House in Osh, Ruslanbek Arapbaev, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at Osh State University, Vasily Ivanov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at the North Caucasus Federal University, Olga Lyubimova, a representative from the Department of External Relations at the North Caucasus Federal University, and the project manager.

This initiative aimed to explore methods for effectively incorporating digital technologies and modern teaching approaches for both students and subject-specific teachers.

Throughout the Education Week, more than 300 students in grades 9-11 and over 170 teachers specializing in physics, informatics, and mathematics from schools in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan engaged in knowledge-sharing and skill-building activities.

Similar events are planned for the cities of Jalal-Abad and Kyzyl-Kia.

This project is being executed within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology and encompasses educational and methodological endeavors with the primary goal of promoting Russian education abroad. Additionally, it supports the learning of the Russian language and offers assistance to Russian schools abroad by dispatching Russian teachers to foreign countries.

Ultimately, this project will play a vital role in attracting educated young individuals to enroll in undergraduate programs at Russian universities.
