The event is attended by more than 200 delegates from 30 countries. The forum will include a dialogue between teachers, school leaders, civil activists, international organizations, donors and government agencies. The global forum will become a platform for discussion of pressing issues in the field of education among all participants.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baysalov emphasized the critical role of education in combating climate change, highlighting that children and youth are future leaders in ensuring environmental stability.

“We aim to equip the younger generation with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to actively participate in building sustainable and secure societies. Therefore, it is crucial for education systems to help children and young people develop not only academic knowledge but also the competencies and values needed to adapt to and mitigate climate change,” he stated.

Minister of Education and Science Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva noted that the III Global Forum “Schools 2030” marks the 100th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Republic’s education system. She mentioned that the forum gathered experts, teachers, policymakers, and leaders from various sectors to discuss and explore ways to transform education collectively.

“Our century-old education system, developed alongside the Kyrgyz Republic, has faced numerous challenges, significant transitions, substantial losses, and remarkable achievements. This year, the Kyrgyz Republic’s education system turns 100 years old, and we will convene before celebrating this milestone,” the minister remarked.

During the forum, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva also declared, “Who else but us will teach children essential life skills? If we don’t teach them now, when will we?” She urged everyone to work under this guiding principle and expressed confidence that Kyrgyzstan’s education system would integrate the valuable experiences of other countries into its framework.
