OshSU and Tyumen Medical University to Strengthen Cooperation

The cooperation between Osh State University and Tyumen Medical University is set to strengthen further, as revealed during an OshSU delegation’s visit to a conference in Tyumen.

The delegation included Zeinepkan Israilova, head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at OshSU’s Medical Faculty; Gulnara Omurzakova, head of the Natural Sciences Department; Eliza Bekeshova, head of the Internal Medicine Propaedeutics Department; Ainura Tursunbaeva, chairperson of the Educational and Methodological Council; along with faculty members Dinara Dzhobsarova and Begimai Kadyraly kyzy. From October 31 to November 2, they participated in the 3rd All-Russian International Scientific and Practical Conference in Tyumen.

The conference featured presentations and masterclasses on modern teaching models, as well as discussions on the role of artificial intelligence in medical education and the training of future professionals by 2030.

During the visit, both universities reviewed their cooperation agreement and aligned their curricula. They also finalized plans for student academic mobility as part of the dual degree program, allowing participating students to study at Tyumen Medical University for one month during the spring semester.

The delegation also had the opportunity to experience Diwali celebrations hosted by Tyumen Medical University.

The dual degree agreement between OshSU and Tyumen Medical University was initially signed in 2022, and currently, 15 students are enrolled in the program’s first and second years.
