On November 19, a delegation from three prominent universities in Kazakhstan: Kokshetau University named after Ch. Valikhanov, Y. Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute named after Altynsarin, and East Kazakhstan University named after Amanzholov visited Osh State University, where the delegation was welcomed by Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov. The event featured a series of cultural, scientific, and educational activities.
During the meeting, Marat Syrlybayev, Rector of Kokshetau University, Yerzhan Amirbek uulu, Rector of Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute, and Dosym Yerbolat, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of East Kazakhstan University, shared information about their institutions and expressed interest in fostering collaboration with OshSU in areas such as academic mobility and scientific research.
Yerzhan Amirbek uulu proposed that OshSU send one of its professors to their institution, with the costs for transportation, expenses, and monthly salary covered by the Kazakh side. In return, 30 students from Arkalyk will join OshSU for the upcoming spring semester. He also offered to accept 30 OshSU students for academic exchange.
The delegation toured OshSU’s digital education systems, academic buildings, medical clinics, and the Future Generation Hub. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen ties between the universities, exchange expertise in research and innovation, and explore future opportunities for cooperation. During their stay, the delegation will meet with faculty members and students to discuss further collaboration.
