A celebratory event marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in the round hall of the Russian Philology Department at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communications. Organized by students and faculty, the event aimed to honor war veterans, preserve the memory of past heroism, and cultivate patriotic values among the younger generation.
The program began with a solemn rally, where attendees observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the fallen.
Following the official proceedings, students presented a concert program. Their performances featured wartime songs, including "Goodbye, Boys," "Katyusha," "In the Dugout," and "Victory Day," along with a moving dance number set to "Blue Handkerchief."
Students also recited war-themed poetry, showcasing the works of A. Dementyev, K. Simonov, R. Rozhdestvensky, Yu. Voronkov, Yu. Drunina, and A. Yashin.
Dramatic scenes portraying life at the front were staged as part of the program.
The event reflected the students’ heartfelt dedication, thoughtful preparation, and deep respect for historical memory. The audience responded warmly to every performance. The celebration concluded with a powerful joint rendition of the song "Victory Day," leaving the hall filled with pride and a sense of unity.
