Osh State University is hosting the Sulaiman-Too International Film Festival for Young Cinematographers from CIS countries. To date, over 200 film entries have been received from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The competition invites short films—including fiction, documentaries, animation, and experimental genres—centered on modern education, challenges faced by school-age children, and related social issues. Each film must not exceed 30 minutes in length.

A jury led by Tynay Ibragimov, People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan and acclaimed director and cinematographer, is currently evaluating the submissions. The winners will be announced during the festival, which will take place from May 12 to 14. Awards will include trophies, diplomas, and cash prizes across various categories. The festival program also features film screenings, master classes, panel discussions, and cultural excursions.

Organized by the Film Academy of the Institute of Pedagogy, Art and Journalism at Osh State University, the festival aims to nurture the creative talents of emerging filmmakers from the CIS and foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.
