Scholar and Dedicated Leader Oljobai Shaimkulov Celebrates 60th Anniversary

On June 3, Osh State University celebrated the 60th birthday of Oljobai Shaimkulov, director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, associate professor, and candidate of pedagogical sciences.

The event brought together academics from Osh-based universities, faculty members of Osh State University, students, and close colleagues. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ruslan Arapbaev highlighted Shaimkulov’s outstanding contributions as a scholar, educator, and leader. He praised Shaimkulov’s dedication, high standards, and ability to inspire and unify teams wherever he worked.

Colleagues and students also shared heartfelt congratulations, recalling his exemplary life and creative career. A documentary film about Shaimkulov was screened, followed by a concert performance.

Shaimkulov has dedicated over 30 years to Osh State University, contributing his knowledge, experience, and intellectual energy to its growth. Throughout his career, he has held numerous academic and administrative roles, authored over 50 scholarly articles, and provided valuable methodological recommendations on teaching content and pedagogy.
