Rector Participates in Key Higher Education and Renewable Energy Events in Tashkent

Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov took part in two major international events during his working visit to Tashkent on November 25–26.

On November 25, the rector delivered a speech at the QS Eurasia Forum, hosted by the University of Central Asia under the theme “Expanding Horizons: Developing International Cooperation in Higher Education.” The forum brought together university leaders, international education experts, and government officials from Eurasia, Southeast Asia, and the Arab States.

The participants discussed current trends in scientific and pedagogical education, the integration of artificial intelligence into university programs, and emerging approaches to improving graduate employability. Key topics also included sustainable development strategies and opportunities for global cooperation with leading educational and research institutions.

Notable attendees included Nunzio Quacquarelli, President of QS Quacquarelli Symonds, along with prominent representatives of universities and education organizations worldwide.

On November 26, Rector Kozhobekov joined the meeting of the Steering Committee for the EU-supported project titled “Development of Transversal and Sustainable Skills in Electricity and Heat Production from Renewable Energy Sources.” Our university is a beneficiary of the project, which aims to prepare highly qualified specialists in the field of renewable energy and strengthen the region’s potential for sustainable energy development.

The rector’s participation highlights OSU’s commitment to expanding international cooperation and contributing to innovative and sustainable educational initiatives.
