Professor Laili Ukubaeva Delivers Guest Lecture at Osh State University

At the invitation of the Department of Kyrgyz Philology at Osh State University, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor Laili Ukubaeva delivered a guest lecture to faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduates.

In her presentation, Professor Ukubaeva highlighted the significance of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov, focusing on the themes of morality, purity, and humanity that permeate his works, as well as the timeless humanistic ideas that inspire readers to strive for compassion and integrity.

“Everyone who reads Aitmatov interprets his philosophical ideas in their own way. The profound thoughts found in each of his works are a pure reflection of the Kyrgyz worldview,” the professor noted.

The lecture also addressed the contemporary relevance of studying Aitmatov’s legacy, generational perspectives on his works, and the deeper meanings and intellectual insights embedded within his writing.

The scholarly event was initiated by the Department of Kyrgyz Literature of the Institute and supported by the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Medergul Tabaldieva.
