The project focuses on studying non-communicable diseases among long-living populations in southern Kyrgyzstan. It is being implemented in cooperation with Juntendo University (Japan), the International Higher School of Medicine, and the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.
The study aims to identify risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and hypertension by analyzing lifestyle, nutrition, physical activity, and environmental and psychosocial factors. As part of the cooperation, OshSU lecturer Samatbek Turdaliev will study free of charge in the PhD program at Juntendo University.
