Teachers of Osh State University, Venera Sabirova and Gulsara Ernazarova, participated in the International Winter School held in Saint Petersburg.

The week-long program brought together 46 Russian language specialists from eight countries. They received training on “Teaching Russian Language and Literature in a Multicultural Environment.” The program focused on mastering modern methods of teaching in multicultural classrooms.

The event included lectures, masterclasses, and practical lessons. Effective methods of teaching Russian, interactive formats, and ways to increase student engagement were discussed.

The cultural program allowed participants to explore the city’s historical sites, the 20th-century museum, and original manuscripts in the house of the great poet Alexander Pushkin. They also attended a performance at the Youth Theatre on the Fontanka embankment.

This international winter school provided an opportunity to enhance teachers’ professional skills and integrate the acquired experience into the educational process.
