On February 17, representatives of the European Union visited Osh State University. The delegation consisted of 28 deputies led by Giuseppe Principe. Among the distinguished guests was Remy Duflot, the European Union Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.

During the main part of the visit, the delegation held an open dialogue with students. The meeting discussed issues of academic mobility, opportunities for studying abroad, youth initiatives, and prospects for cooperation. Students received answers to their numerous questions.

The delegation also met with Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov. He familiarized the guests with the history of the university, its main educational areas, scientific potential, and international relations. The parties discussed the development of the higher education system, the implementation of joint scientific projects, and opportunities for participation in international grant programs. The parties noted their readiness to further deepen cooperation.

Along with this, projects financed by the European Union in the field of education and science, the Erasmus+ scholarship program, and the expansion of partnerships between Kyrgyzstan and European countries were discussed.
