A student won the WBC version championship
A historic achievement in Kyrgyz professional boxing: student Mukhammadkodir Abdumannabov won the WBC version championship.
The tournament took place in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, with top fighters from Turkic countries. He won three matches, defeating opponents from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan in the final.
Abdumannabov, a second-year student at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies, has been boxing since age 12 and is coached by honored Kyrgyz trainer Beganas Sultanbaev.
