The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation announces AIF grant competition

The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic announces the second round of the competition for grants of the Academic Innovation Fund within the framework of the “Quality and Innovation in Higher Education” project.

The purpose of the competition is to support innovative academic and research projects aimed at strengthening the scientific potential of higher education institutions in the country and enhancing cooperation between universities and economic sectors.

Teachers and researchers from all public and private universities are invited to participate in the competition.

Priority will be given to initiatives led by women and those involving female students, socially vulnerable groups, or persons with disabilities.

Maximum grant amount: up to USD 200,000
Project duration: up to 36 months

Stage 1 (submission of project ideas): until 08 April 2026, 24:00
Stage 2 (full proposal submission): until 30 July 2026, 24:00

NOTE! The use of funds for construction works, payment of salaries or allowances to teachers, student scholarships, as well as the purchase of vehicles is strictly prohibited.

All expenses not directly related to the project are strictly prohibited.
