The Consul General of Lithuania in Kyrgyzstan visited
On March 13, the Consul General of Lithuania in Kyrgyzstan, Šarūnė Kubiliūtė, whose residence is in Almaty, visited the university. Issues of expanding educational and scientific cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
The Consul General was accompanied by advisor Eduard Majul and Lithuania’s Honorary Consul in Osh, Mederbek Orumbaev. The delegation was received by Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov.
The sides discussed strengthening academic ties, developing English-language educational programs, implementing faculty exchange initiatives, and expanding cooperation in scientific research. It was also noted that the opening of Lithuania’s honorary consulate in Osh would contribute to closer relations between the two countries.
As part of the visit, the guests met with students and faculty members and delivered a guest lecture about international education opportunities, universities in Lithuania, academic mobility programs, and cooperation with European institutions.
