OshSU Discusses Measures Against Violence
On April 15, a roundtable discussion on “Violence in Modern Society in Kyrgyzstan: Challenges and Solutions” was held at the History and Law Institute of Osh State University.
Experts discussed violence prevention mechanisms and legal actions after such cases are reported. Faculty members and students presented reports on violence against women and minors. It was noted that violence against women and children remains a serious social issue. Participants also asked questions to law enforcement representatives and received practical answers.
The event brought together representatives of the Osh city prosecutor’s office, court, police, social protection services, academics, and students. The roundtable was organized by faculty members of the Criminal Law and Procedure and Civil Law and Procedure departments.
