A “Green Week – 2026” event was held at the Center for Ecology and Sustainable Development of Osh State University. The center was established within the framework of the European Union ERASMUS+ GREENKG project.
During the event, Associate Professor Abdimannap Abdykaarov delivered a presentation titled “Green University: Environmental Challenges, Sustainable Development, and the Role of Partnership.” He highlighted current environmental issues and spoke about the work being carried out by Osh State University and the GREENKG project to address them.
Students of the Institute of Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism, and Agrarian Technologies discussed the role of the green economy in the country’s development. They talked about ways to reduce environmental problems. The students presented reports on the following topics:
“Green Week – 2026” is an initiative dedicated to International Earth Day, organized by the Green Alliance of Kyrgyzstan, AVZUR, and other partner organizations. Its aim is to educate students and young researchers about ecology, green economy, and climate policy. It also focuses on training specialists who can contribute to the country’s “green” development.
The event was organized by Associate Professor Abdimannap Abdykaarov and Lecturer Shaarkan Tashbaltaeva of the Department of Zoology, Ecology, and Bioengineering.
