The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic has introduced new admission requirements for medical vocational colleges for the 2026–2027 academic year. The relevant order was issued on July 7.
Programs requiring Biology:
- General Medicine – Main Test: 90 points, Subject Test (Biology): 40 points
- Midwifery – Main Test: 90 points, Subject Test (Biology): 40 points
- Preventive Dentistry – Main Test: 90 points, Subject Test (Biology): 40 points
- Nursing – Main Test: 90 points, Subject Test (Biology): 40 points
- Physical Therapy – Main Test: 90 points, Subject Test (Biology): 40 points
Programs requiring Chemistry:
- Medical and Preventive Care – Main Test: 90 points, Subject Test (Chemistry): 40 points
- Orthopedic Dentistry – Main Test: 90 points, Subject Test (Chemistry): 40 points
- Pharmacy – Main Test: 90 points, Subject Test (Chemistry): 40 points
- Laboratory Diagnostics – Main Test: 90 points, Subject Test (Chemistry): 40 points
According to the Ministry, these changes are intended to improve the quality of selecting future healthcare professionals and to ensure a more accurate assessment of applicants’ academic knowledge.
