OshSU Student Becomes World Champion in Toguz Korgool
OshSU student Temirlan Nurbekov became the world champion in the classic format of Toguz Korgool at the World Championship held in Bucharest, Romania.
The competition, held from September 21 to 27, brought together athletes from more than 20 countries, including Romania, the Czech Republic, Spain, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, and Kazakhstan.
During the tournament, Temirlan Nurbekov competed against two players from Kazakhstan. He drew one match and won the other 1–0.
Temirlan is currently studying Physical Education at OshSU. The young athlete has been practicing Toguz Korgool for 17 years, and his coach Mirbek Rakhmanov has played a significant role in this achievement.
