Kangwon National University Delegation Visits OshSU
On October 7, a delegation from Kangwon National University (KNU) visited OshSU to discuss expanding cooperation between the two universities.
The meeting addressed the launch of a 2+2 joint educational program, double-degree programs, opening KNU’s educational programs at OshSU, and establishing a Kangwon National University center. The participants also exchanged views on establishing a preparatory department of KNU for students, developing academic mobility for students and faculty, and expanding cooperation in science and education.
The delegation included Yoon Ji-young, Director of KNU’s International Cooperation Department; Kim Ik-hyun, Vice President for International Affairs; and Lee Min-hee, Director of the Global Talent Network Center.
OshSU was represented by Vice-Rector for External Relations Kursantbek Attokurov, Director of the Department of Academic Policy and Educational Quality Ibrahim Atabaev, and Head of the Department of International Relations Ainura Ozgonova.
As part of the visit, KNU representatives will meet with OshSU students and provide information about educational opportunities. The delegation will also learn about the activities of the King Sejong Institute.
It should be noted that OshSU and Kangwon National University signed a memorandum of cooperation in November 2025. Since then, a number of working meetings and joint initiatives have been held.
