On October 16, a ceremony was held in Tianjin, China, to establish a joint community for linking education and industry in the new energy vehicle sector among member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

Tynystan Pazylov, Dean of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty at Osh State University, attended the event. The meeting was organised as part of the World Conference on the Development of Vocational and Technical Education.

Representatives of educational institutions, professional organisations and the industrial sector from China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Egypt took part in the event. They discussed ways to develop international cooperation in the new energy vehicle sector and train specialists in this field.

The newly established community aims to strengthen cooperation among the participating countries, promote the exchange of modern technologies and train specialists needed in the new energy vehicle industry. Its activities include strengthening ties between educational institutions and industrial enterprises, organising experience-sharing opportunities for teachers, and expanding practical learning opportunities for students.

Such cooperation will help improve students’ professional skills, familiarise them with new technologies used in industry and prepare specialists to meet labour market needs. It will also create opportunities for educational institutions and industrial enterprises in participating countries to exchange experience and carry out joint projects.

This information was published on October 20 on the official website of Tianjin University of Technology and Education.
